The COVID-19 pandemic has gone but the boost it has brought to videoconferencing remains. Digitalisation in general and videoconferencing in particular has kept judicial workflows alive during the COVID-19 pandemic. Judicial authorities were able to remain operational in wide areas due to the possibility of holding court hearings and trials online. The experience gained during that time remains. However, setting up a judicial videoconference, especially in a cross-border environment, is still perceived as a cumbersome process.
The SimpliVi project therefore aims at gathering experiences and best practised in this domain and support the setup of a cross-border videoconference in various aspects.
