In the course of implementing the eIDAS Regulation, the European Commission held a meeting with private sector representatives – private eID providers, banks and leading businesses. Successful examples of public and private sector cooperation in electronic identification were presented, and workshop participants agreed that a perfect tool for electronic identification has to:
- Be simple, quick and user-friendly;
- Be trustworthy;
- Work for a wide range of services offered by both the public and private sector;
- Enable electronic identification in different EU countries.
The meeting confirmed the high potential of eID for the development of innovations and new electronic services.
If you too would like to benefit from the advantages that electronic identification brings to both public administration and businesses, have a look at what the e-SENS project can offer you, and take advantage of its trustworthy solution for cross-border electronic identification to expand your services.
The e-SENS interoperable solution for eID is based on the results of the STORK and STORK 2.0 projects, and is prepared in accordance with the new eIDAS European legislation. From the start, this solution has been developed to be usable in various sectors, such as e-Delivery, e-Health and
e-Procurement, and in different European countries within the Single Digital Market.
