A comprehensive and user-friendly reporting system, Single Market Scoreboard, has been recently put in place by European Commission. It offers 13 governance tools including monitoring the correct transposition of EU directives, analysis of infringement proceedings, administrative cooperation networks and various information and problem-solving services. The Single Market Scoreboard aims at giving an overview of the of the practical management of the Single Market. It is essential to ensure that the Single Market does not exist only on EU laws and national transposition measures but also in reality for citizens and businesses who want to work, travel, shop, invest or do business across borders. Therefore, The Single Market Scoreboard covers the results that have been achieved by the Member States and provides examples of the difficulties citizens and businesses still face in exercising their EU rights.
The information on the website is organised:
- by stage in the governance cycle;
- by performance per Member State;
- by governance tool.
