CeBIT2016

Monday, March 14, 2016 to Friday, March 18, 2016

About the event

After the previous two successful appearances at CeBIT, e-SENS again presented its achievements and contribution to the development of the Digital Single Market in Europe. The largest and most internationally represented IT fair in the world was a great opportunity to demonstrate current project works, present the project’s solutions and technical components, as well as meet the key stakeholders face to face.

e-SENS, uniting traditionally with e-CODEX and for the first time with Connecting Europe Facility Programme (CEF) and eIDAS, had a common booth “Digital Public Services Across Borders” in the Hall 7, Stand B39. Once again, the stand represented European Commission’s Large-Scale Pilots (LSPs), striving to create European interoperability by providing general standards for cross-border eGovernment.

Variety of topics was presented:

  • IT solutions delivered by e-SENS and e-CODEX addressing the problems of compliance with EU legislation
  • Interoperability already achieved in various policy domains such as e-Health, e-Justice, Business Lifecycle, e-Procurement
  • Re-usable tools and services offered within the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), an EU funding instrument
  • Electronic identification and trust services (eIDAS services) and the effects of the eIDAS regulation for citizens and public administration
  • Conformance and Interoperability testing tool - Minder

What could you learn?

The booth visitors could interact with the touch-screen, to match RFID Lego bricks, followi key EU regulations at the sliding monitor, play with e-SENS vending machine and simply watch presentations on the big screen.
